Hello!

Hello from The Timorous Beasties! Thank you for stopping by and having a wee look at our site!

“Thank you so much for last night! It was absolutely amazing, and everyone loved the ceilidh dancing, particularly the Welshies who had never done it before! Loved the way you got the crowd a bit more relaxed and getting into it by just playing some music at the beginning of the second set too. Worked out brilliantly.” – June 28th 2014, Marina and Stephen

The Timorous Beasties are a London-based Scottish Ceilidh and Function band who provide a quality mix of traditional and contemporary Celtic music.

“The Timorous Beasties played our charity ceilidh event for Burns night 2014 and were absolutely brilliant; the music was great and the ceilidh calling meant that people who hadn’t been to one before could get involved and have a great night. The night ran so smoothly and was so much fun, all the guests had a brilliant time with many saying it was the best Ceilidh they had ever been too! A massive thank you to the band!” – Kate Gregory, Arthritis Care, January 25th 2014

Each ceilidh dance is called through step by step on the night, so you and your guests can get dancing straight away!

Rosie and Duncan, the founders of the Timorous Beasties, both hail from Bonnie Scotland and still regularly perform at Ceilidhs north and south of the border, so rest assured that the service you receive is as authentic as it gets!

“My new husband and I just wanted to say a massive thank you. You guys were absolutely brilliant and everyone at the wedding commented on how thoroughly excellent you were! We both had an amazing day and even the English lot commented on how much fun they had at the ceilidh.
Also wanted to say that you guys nailed the first dance song it was perfect , Rosie your voice is incredible. Can’t say thank you enough guys
